LEWISTON — The Maine Music Society is tapping into the music of two of the most extraordinary popular composers and Kennedy Center honorees when it presents Songs of Carole King and James Taylor, Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21, at the Gendron Franco Center. 
Under the direction of artistic director John Corrie, the MMS Chorale has prepared energizing arrangements of songs you’ll recognize in the first few notes.  Selections of James Taylor include “How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You,” “Sweet Baby James,” and “Fire and Rain.”  Carole King favorites will include such wonderful songs as “So Far Away,” “I Feel the Earth Move,” and “You’ve Got a Friend.” 
 Saturday’s performance is at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday is at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $20 adults; $18 for seniors, students, $10. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.  There is a 20% discount for groups of 10 or more.

LEWISTON — The Maine Music Society is moving its ticketing and business operations to SmART Management at the Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St., as of Monday, May 8.

The business and box office is now located in the upper lobby of the Gendron Franco Center.
Maine Music Society and L/A Arts have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship over many years.  At this time, the two organizations are reorganizing to better support their operations.  The board of MMS expects to continue to collaborate with L/A Arts.
