Fiddlehead School seeks sale vendors 

GRAY — The Fiddlehead School of Arts and Sciences is seeking vendors for its third annual Giant Tag Sale to benefit the school from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at the school at 25 Shaker Road.

Anyone wishing to rent a space to sell their own goods is required to register in advance and pay for their space at the time of registration.

Community members can rent a space for $30. Spaces are 8½ feet by 15 feet and can accommodate one 8-foot table per space. Tables will not be provided. 

The rane date will be Sunday, June 4.

Indianhead Division seeks members 

ARLINGTON, Virginia — The U.S. Army Second (Indianhead) Division Association is searching for anyone who served in the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division at any time.

This year the association will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the division, which was formed in France during World War I.

The annual reunion will take place Sept. 13 to 17 in Arlington, Virginia.

Mexico Historical Society meeting

MEXICO — The Mexico Historical Society will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, May 15, at the Calvin Lyons Hall.

There will be a pot luck supper, followed by a presentation by member John Robichaud.

Robichaud will show a 20 minute film on his experiences trekking the Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine, in 2008. A question and answer discussion will follow. The public is invited; new members are welcome.

Rumford Horseshoe Club meeting

RUMFORD — The Rumford Horseshoe Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 15, at the horseshoe pits at Hosmer Field.

Pharmacy scholarship for OHCHS grads

NORWAY — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School graduates are eligible for the Gina Bizier Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship.

Requirements for this scholarship are that the applicant must be a graduate of OHCHS, be majoring in pre-pharmacy or attending a college of pharmacy, and be in good academic standing.

The scholarship is a tribute to Gina Bizier, an OHCHS graduate and pharmacist, who was passionate about encouraging young adults to consider careers in pharmacy.

Main Street. The deadline for applications is June 1.

Camp Kingswood food service program

BRIDGTON – JCC Camp Kingswood  is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all eligible children, free of charge.

To be eligible to receive free meals at a residential or non-residential location, children must meet the income guidelines for reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program.

Children who are part of households that receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families are automatically eligible to receive free meals.

Jupiter Night rescheduled at observatory

PARIS — The Twitchell Observatory has postponed its Open Observatory Night to see Jupiter to Friday or Saturday, May 12 or 13. 

Those attending should check the observatory’s website for weather postponements and for exact date and time.

Jupiter Night is free to attend.
