AUBURN — Debra Jean (Whitehead) Howe, 58, of Mechanic Falls, passed away Friday, May 5, while in the presence of her life partner, Sheila Drake.
Debra was born May 10, 1958, in Beardstown, Ill., to parents Clark and Jeannie Whitehead, who both predeceased her.
Debra was loved and cherished by so many and a true inspiration to all she came in contact with. She excelled at caring for and helping others throughout her life and impacted all with her infectious smile and warm hugs. She followed in her great-grandparents footsteps as a gifted medium and a passionate, devoted Spiritualist. Her quick wit, positive outlook and love of all things in nature was truly her gift to family, friends and strangers alike. She took nothing for granted and cherished every moment. She enjoyed needlework, gardening and especially sharing spirit messages with others freely, to promote love and healing.
She is survived by her life partner, Sheila Drake; her son, John and partner, Emily; a granddaughter; three brothers; and many extended family members in California, Illinois and Maine.
