LEWISTON — James Elwood Williams passed away Tuesday, May 9, with family by his side at St. Mary’s hospital after a sudden illness.

He was born May 17, 1947, the son of Lena Irving and Everet Williams. He went to Auburn schools, job corps, and work many jobs, including Oxford Plains Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. He had many friends and would give his shirt off his back to anyone he could.

He leaves behind his wife, Lindalee Brown; one daughter, Patsy Beane of Auburn; three sons, Thomas of Canton, James E. II and Barry and his companion, Katelyn Colby of Auburn; one sister, Dale Hall and husband, Brad of Oxford; and one brother, Gale of Albany. He leaves behind grandkids, Areby, Logan, Chase; and two great-grandkids.

He was predeceased his parents; three sisters, Mary, Helen, Frances; and six brothers, Everet, Charles, Larry, Barry, Harry and Kenneth Williams.
