TUESDAY, May 16
AUBURN — Edward Little High School Culture Night, 5:30 p.m. in the gym. Students will show their cultures through talks, slam poetry, fashions and dancing. Twenty-three cultures will be represented, including Somalia, Kenya, Iraq, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Food from different cultures will be donated by school families and the public.
WEDNESDAY, May 17
AUBURN — School Committee workshop at 6 p.m. on graduation requirement changes; regular meeting at 7 p.m. Actions to be taken include approval of probationary and continuing teacher contracts and nomination of Jeff Benson as athletic director. City Council Chamber of Auburn Hall.

AUBURN — Let’s Talk About It, a free reading and discussion group on “Exploring Human Boundaries: Literary Perspectives on Health Care Providers and Their Patients,” 10 a.m. at the Auburn Public Library. The event is sponsored by Maine Humanities Council.
