Boy Scouts of Troop 500 of Strong attended the Scout-O-Rama in Freeport. There were 4,000 other Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, Adventurers and adult Scouters also in attendance. They were taught CPR, viewed speakers on survival, used a climbing wall and took part in a variety of other activities. After trying more than 25 stations, the boys were awarded a patch that commemorated the day. Pictured, from left, are leaders June Flagg, Chuck Smith, Ken Flagg, Gavin Lawlor, Ethan Sniadeck, Dalten Huff, Michael Smith, Benjamin Butterfield, Jacob Butterfield and Nathaniel Smith.
