LISBON – Gilberte R. Lebrun, 89, a resident of Lisbon and formerly of Lewiston, passed away peacefully Friday, June 2, at the Lamp Nursing Home following a long illness.
She was born in Nashua, N.H., on Jan. 30, 1928, the daughter of Paul E. and Josephine (Theriault) Lebrun Sr.
Gilberte moved to Lewiston at a young age growing up in “Little Canada” and was a member of the former St. Mary’s Church. She was employed for more than 40 years in the local shoe industry. Following retirement, her hobbies included Beano and cards.
She was very religious to her faith, and loved her family.
Survivors include one sister, Camilla Beauchesne of Lewiston; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Gilberte was predeceased by one brother and one sister-in-law, Paul and Liane Lebrun Jr.; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Therese and Maurice St.Clair, Yolande and Steve Pagurko, and Simone and Vincent Buzza.
