LISBON — Milo L. Chase Jr., 90, of Lisbon passed away on Friday, June 2, at the Androscoggin Hospice House.

He was born at his family home in Lisbon on May 24, 1927, a son of Milo Chase Sr. and Charlotte (Stinchfield) Chase. He was married on July 4, 1947, to the love of his life, Pauline Booker.

In the beginning of his career Milo drove dump trucks and plowed for the town of Lisbon. Then he went on to work as a brick mason with his brother-in-law, Arnold Booker, for many years. He loved pointing out and talking about the buildings they had worked on together all over the state of Maine. Milo spent many summers at the family camp in Harspwell — boating, fishing and relaxing with many members of the family. After retiring, he enjoyed puttering around the garage and gardening with his wife. Even more recently he loved spending time with and spoiling his great-grandchildren.

Milo is survived by his wife of 70 years, Pauline; daughter, Sherry Crosman of Lisbon; grandchildren, Jeff Crosman and his son, Justin of Lisbon; Jennifer Johnston and her husband, Kieran, and their children – Jayme, Jacob, Kenny and Kiera of Lisbon; and Jamie Crosman of Harpswell; and Milo’s brother, Robert Chase and wife, Gayle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, Bud Chase; sister, Flossie (Chase) Hart; and son-in-law, Cliff Crosman.

The family would like to especially thank the wonderful staff at Androscoggin Hospice House for caring for Milo in his finals days and their overwhelming support to his family.

Milo L. Chase Jr.
