I would like to know who is telling the truth about the Obamacare (ACA) plan and the Trumpcare (AHCA) plan. I read that millions of people have been priced out of the ACA plan due to huge price increases and deductibles so high as to be useless to average people.

Democrats claim that millions of people now covered will not be under the Republican plan, which is still being developed.

It is clear that it is not possible to cover everybody with a single plan that will satisfy every one of 300 million people. The disastrous results of the federal government’s VA health care system are a perfect example of a federal program run amok.

The U.S. Constitution set up a federal system of government in which most functions are left up to choices of the states and the people. It was clear to the founding fathers that a government some 3,000 miles away (England) could not understand all the difficulties of people scattered over several thousand more miles, from Canada to Florida. The local people knew better what they needed than the British royalty. Hence, they set up a system of local control of most functions, except national security, interstate commerce, a financial system and a postal system.

The states should decide what is best for their people, and the federal government assist only where needed most.
