MINOT — Dale D. Harris, 54, of Minot, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 3, in Binghamton. N.Y., with family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born Aug. 10, 1962, in Norway to Dwight Harris and Ellen Tarr. He was a graduate of Leavitt Area High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1980-1982, spending time stationed in Texas and Germany. On July 16, he married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Sekora Harris, of Binghamton, N.Y. They were blessed to have been reunited and made each other so happy this past year. Dale loved spending time “downback” on his land in Minot. It was his happy place. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved lending a helping hand to his friends and family. He loved fishing, carpentry, working on vehicles, and the Patriots and Red Sox. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Dale is survived by his wife, Debbie; his daughter, Tia McCulley and her husband, Kevin; son, Benjamin Harris and his fiancée, Chelsey St. Amour; his step-daughter, Sasha Noble; the mother of his children and friend, Doreen Riggs; his parents, Dwight and Carol Harris; his brothers, Dana Harris, Dean Harris, Paul Lessard and David Dorey; lifelong friends, Keith Terenzoni, Tykey and True Ridley, Mike and Peggy Jordan, and Tina Terenzoni; his extended ‘ohana’ in Hawaii; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

He was predeceased by his “Gram,” Doris Harris of Minot.

A special thank-you to everyone at the Dempsey Center for giving Dale his “safe place” during this journey.

Dale D. Harris
