SABATTUS — Robert N. Bedard, 76, of 32 Deerfield Drive, Sabattus, died at his home Wednesday, June 14.
Born in Lewiston on Jan. 24, 1941, he was the son of Rosario and Mary Jane Beaulieu Bedard. Educated in local schools, he married the former Anita C. Nadeau on Nov. 10, 1962. He worked for many years as a hand sewer at several local shoe shops, including Quoddy, L.L. Bean, Cumberland Shoe and Cole Haan. He was a talented woodworker, and after his retirement devoted his time and energy to his craft.
A member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, he is survived by his loving wife, Anita, of Sabattus; two sons, Ricky and wife, Alarice, of Manchester and Normand of New Auburn; a brother, Maurice and wife, Anne, of Lisbon; two sisters, Pauline and husband, Gerald Tardiff, of Sabattus and Claire and husband, Robert Levasseur, of New Auburn; three grandchildren, Amanda Saunders, Nicholas Bedard, and Brynna Bedard; and two great-grandchildren, Folken and Raydon Saunders.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Ronald and Dennis, and a brother, Marcel.
