LEWISTON — Jeanne Constance Michaud, 89, formerly of Edward Avenue, died early Friday morning, July 21, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion with her loving husband and son at her side.
She was born in Lewiston on January 27, 1928, the daughter of Alphonse and Elise Cote Pelletier and was educated in Lewiston schools. Jeanne was a member of The Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church. She worked in the office at Shapiro Bros. Shoe Co. and Clark Shoe Co., and worked at Lewiston High School in the kitchen. She later did the bookkeeping for the family business, Michaud Plumbing and Heating, for 17 years before retiring. She enjoyed planning trips and traveling with her husband and friends. She was a dog lover, and enjoyed knitting and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband of over 66 years, Maurice A. Michaud of Lewiston, whom she married December 9, 1950; her son, Norman Michaud of Lewiston; and a grandson, Brian Michaud of Lewiston. She was predeceased by her parents; one sister, Doria Kullson; and one brother, Joseph Pelletier.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion 3 East, and Androscoggin Home Health for the wonderful care given to Jeanne.
