MINOT — Rita Hodgkin, 73, of Minot passed away on Friday, Aug. 11, at her home.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 3, 1944, the daughter of Arthur and Marie Parent Morin.
She had been employed as a stitcher at local shoe shops and worked as a bartender. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, crossword puzzles, sewing, reading and visiting with family. She especially enjoyed family cookouts and holidays.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie; her sons, Steve Chapman and Mark Chapman and his girlfriend, Heidi Coulombe; her daughter, Tammy Gary and her husband, Bob; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marguerite Courtemanche, Marie Dustin and Anita Roy; five stepsons, Steve and wife, Carole, Bruce and girlfriend, Collette, Kevin, John and wife, Sheri, and Brian and wife, Debbie; seven stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; nine siblings; a son, Johnny Doustou; grandson, Andrew Nicholas Chapman; and a great-granddaughter, Ella Morin.
