Old Town’s third annual Day of Hope will be held this Saturday, Aug. 26 at New Life Old Town, 261 Main Street, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The Day of Hope is part of a local effort of businesses, citizens and churches getting together to give hope to Old Town and surrounding cities. Old Town resident and pastor Brooke Gardner once again will be organizing it this year with the help of the members of her church, New Life Old Town, which will also be celebrating its grand opening during the Day of Hope.
There will be food, clothes, groceries and much more available, including dental services and hair cuts; those in need are urged to come to the event, and to help spread the word. The haircuts and a Kidzone will be held in the city hall parking lot.
In past years, the Day of Hope has served hundreds of area residents in need. For more information, call Gardiner at 207-659-6443.
