FARMINGTON — The Farmington Recreation Department is proud to announce that they are taking registrations for all of their Fall soccer programs. They are offering a Little Kicks program for three and four year olds where children and their parents and/or guardians participate in a fun skills and drills session.

Children who are entering Kindergarten this year can register for our Prep Soccer Club that uses exciting drills to refine playing skill so that in the following year, the athletes will be ready to join their first team in the Farmington Youth Soccer League.  Both the Little Kicks program and the Prep Soccer Club will hold their sessions at Hippach Field on Sunday afternoons starting September 10 from 4 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. Both programs cost $25 for Farmington residents and $35 for non-residents and children must be registered by Friday Sept. 8.

First through sixth graders have the opportunity to play in our Farmington Youth Soccer League which is split into two divisions. Division One includes athletes from first through third grade. Division Two is made up of fourth-sixth graders. In this league, players are divided into teams where they will practice once a week on either Tuesday or Thursday, and also compete in a game on Sunday’s. Practices for Division One will be held on Tuesday nights beginning September 12 from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. while Division Two practices will be held on Thursdays nights beginning September 12 from 5:30 p.m.-6:45 p.m. Games for Division One start on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and Division Two games follow shortly after at 2:30 p.m..

The first Skills and drills session will be held on Sunday Sept. 10th and teams will be made shortly thereafter. Arrive at the time you normally would for a game day. Program fees are $25 for Farmington Residents and $35 for non-residents and registrations must be in by Friday, September 8. These fees also include the team jersey provided to every player.

New this year we are also offering an Adult Futsal League so that parents and other community members.  Players decide their own teams and after turning in the roster will compete on Friday night’s starting Sept. 15th in a single game between 5 p.m.-9 p.m.. The season includes eight regular season matches followed by playoffs on Friday November 3rd, and then championships on Saturday No p.m. for people to get to know each other and play a few matches before the season starts. Teams and players will be randomized for that night. Program fees are $20 for Farmington residents and non-residents, so come and stop by the community center to register by Monday, Sept. 11!
