LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library is looking forward to all that fall has to offer. The annual book sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, as part of the Apple Pumpkin Festival. The sale will take place downstairs in the auditorium.

September is national Library Card Sign-up Month. Residents of Livermore Falls should bring ID and a piece of mail to sign up for library cards. Nonresidents may sign up for a fee of $10 a year.

The Book Club will hold the final meeting in its Jazz Age series at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14. They will discuss “Rules of Civility” by Amor Towles, a story of New York City society in the 1930s. The club will begin a new series, Family Ties and Tales, in October with “A Head Full of Ghosts” by Paul Tremblay. Contact the library for a copy of the book.

Preschool Story Time, featuring stories, activities and crafts, will be held at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday. The self-paced 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a way to earn incentives, such as free board books. Keep track of the books read. For every 100 books, turn in the log at the library and earn a prize.

Teen Writers, for writers ages 12 to 18, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 12 and Sept. 26.

Lego Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. Take on a challenge provided or get creative. Larger Duplo Legos will be available for younger builders. Lego masterpieces will be displayed until the next meeting in the library.

Creative Craft Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 23. Drop in anytime from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make use of craft supplies.

The library will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day.
