RUMFORD – Maine Event Comedy fires up another season of laughs at 49 Franklin’s Mystic Theater, Saturday, Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. The show will feature New Hampshire’s Drew Dunn and Maine comics Colby Bradshaw, Stephen Cloutier and Crystal Bernard.

Dunn recently returned from California’s Burbank Comedy Festival. His quick wit, character voices, and accents have made him one of the fastest-rising comics in New England. He won Boston’s Beantown Comedy Riot and was featured in the Great American Comedy Festival, which pays tribute to the legacy of Johnny Carson.

Bradshaw won Empire’s Summer Classic Comedy Competition in Portland and will open for Comedy Central’s Juston McKinney this fall.

When he’s not overhauling snowmobiles, tractors, and ATVs, Cloutier is on New England stages discussing creative drink concoctions and trying to figure out the strange beings we call ‘Mainers.’

Bernard is a newcomer to the Maine comedy scene and entertains with tales of Las Vegas, hot tubs and her unconventional occupation.

Grassette and his wife, Cindy, have decided to reward advance-ticket buyers with an even lower ticket price dropping from last seasons $12 price to $10. Advance tickets are available in downtown Rumford at Bartash’s and All That Jazz and online at www.49franklin.com .

Tickets are also available day of the show, at the door for $15. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. There will be a cash bar and theater snacks available for purchase. Enter the theater on the right-hand driveway to the back parking lot.
