Lake Region Community Chorus needs singers

BRIDGTON — Lake Region Community Chorus is seeking more sopranos, tenors and basses as it begins rehearsals Monday, Sept. 11, in Twitchell Chapel at Bridgton Academy, beside Route 37 in North Bridgton.

Auditions are not required.

Registration begins at 6 p.m. with a $25 to help cover the cost of the music. Singers may also register Sept. 18.

Rehearsals are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays. Concerts are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. They are made up of a variety of pieces from many genres and styles.

The chorus has about 50 members from 14 towns. The conducting team is made up of Jan Jukkola, Nancy Capone and Dan Allen.
