5K to benefit food bank
LISBON FALLS — The second annual Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors 5K Run and Walk will start at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16.
The proceeds benefit the LACO Food Bank and the Tedford Shelter’s Warm Thy Neighbor program.
Registration is available online or before the 5K at 8 a.m.

Federation of the Blind convention
FALMOUTH — The National Federation of the Blind of Maine will have its annual convention Saturday, Sept. 23, at St. Mary Parish Hall, 43 Fireside Road.
The hall is handicapped-accessible, and there is plenty of free parking.
The convention will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration starts at 8 a.m. The total cost is $30, which includes $5 for dues and $10 for lasagna lunch provided by the Ladies of St. Mary.
