LEWISTON — Carolyn E. Bower, age 62, of Freeport, passed away Thursday, June 29, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Melrose, Mass. on March 27, 1955, the daughter of William H. and Charlotte (Coburn) Bower. Carolyn was educated in the Lynnfield, Mass. school system and furthered her education at both Bates College and the University of Southern Maine.
She started her career at Union Mutual Life Insurance Company then worked the rest of her career at UNUM. Carolyn also did part time work at the Freeport Library. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and the Boston Red Sox.
She is survived by her father, William H. Bower Sr.; her mother, Charlotte Bower; her son, Randall A. Poore of New Orleans; a brother, William H. Bower Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Illinois; a niece; nephew; uncles; aunts; and cousins.
