Trips among items
on auction block
LEWISTON — The Maine Music Society will present The Moon Dawgs on Saturday, Sept. 23, at The Dolard & Priscilla Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St.
Doors open at 6:15 and the event ends at 11:30 p.m.
The Lewiston PAL-Hop band formed in the 1960s. They will perform oldies from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. The evening includes a live auction with auctioneer Chip Morrison. Bid on a one-week stay in the Bahamas or a weekend getaway at Boothbay’s Country Club and Oceanside Inn. Also on the auction block will be a hybrid bike courtesy of Rainbow Bicycles and an instant wine cellar. A silent auction with about 15 items will provide an opportunity to start holiday shopping.
Hors d’oeuvres, pasta bar and a cash bar will provide the energy to rock the night away.
Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door. Reservations are recommended.
The fundraiser benefits The Maine Music Society, a non-profit music organization.
