LEWISTON — Announcement is made of the engagement and forthcoming marriage of Jennifer Bergeron and Tristen Ripley, both of Portland.
Miss Bergeron is the daughter of Kathleen Bergeron of Lewiston and the late Raymond Bergeron, (deceased 2012). She graduated from Lewiston High School in 2010 and went on to major in biological chemistry at Bates College. She is now in her fourth year at Tufts University School of Medicine, Maine Track Program. The couple met during their first year of medical school and lived and worked in Caribou during their third year. In May, she will become a doctor and begin her internal medicine residency. They both hope to practice in Maine.
Mr. Ripley is the son of Dennis and Melanie Ripley of Liberty. He graduated from Mount View High School in 2010 and went on to major in biology at the University of Maine at Augusta. He is now in his fourth year at Tufts University School of Medicine, Maine Track Program. In May, he will become a doctor and begin his emergency medicine residency.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 21 in Liberty.
