DEAR SUN SPOTS: A local Central Maine Medical Center’s specialty office has found a diamond ring in the waiting room. If you have lost a ring and were in a doctor’s office recently, call the security office at CMMC at 795-2299. Be prepared to describe the ring and tell us which office you were in. — Sue, no town

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Rebuilding Together L/A is an organization dedicated to assisting needy families in the community to live in safe and healthy homes. We have had multiple requests this year from citizens who, for physical and/or financial reasons, lack the capability to obtain a wheelchair ramp. Fortunately, two ramps were donated to our organization this summer and have been installed and are in use.

Last week, we received another call from a local hospital requesting our help in finding another ramp. Because we work within very limited financial means, we are asking anyone in the greater Central Maine area who may have a wheelchair ramp that is no longer needed, or who knows of someone who has one, to consider donating it to us. We have the ability to disassemble these ramps and pick them up. Contact Rollie Heckethorn at Rebuilding Together L/A at 344-0007. You’ll be providing a great service to our community! Thank you! — Rollie, no town
