JAY — North Jay Grange No. 10 will have a food sale and an indoor and outdoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14.

NEW SHARON — A by-donation book sale to benefit the New Sharon Jim Ditzler Memorial Library will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the library.

WEST PARIS — The Friends of the West Paris Library are sponsoring a Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, in the West Paris Historical Society building, 232 Main St., across from the library.

As part of the festival, the Friends will hold their annual used book sale, which includes adult, young adult and children’s fiction, as well as nonfiction for all ages. For the last hour of the sale, noon to 1 p.m., a bag of books will be $1.

Unique homemade crafts and “down-home” baked goods, made and donated by local residents, will also be for sale. Hot coffee, tea, cider, muffins and coffee cake will be available while browsing.

A raffle of seven filled baskets of various themes are on display at the library, and tickets may be purchased there now and at the festival. Tickets are $1 or six for $5. The drawing will be at the close of the festival.

The money raised from the sales will be used for library projects and programs.

WILTON — A book sale to benefit the Wilton Free Public Library will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Western Maine Enterprises, 128 Weld St., next to the Wilton Town Office.

This is a big sale with books for readers of all ages and all interests, with a special collection of books on Alaska and numerous music CDs. Many new books have been added since the last sale. Pricing is by donation.

GRAY — Safe Voices will host a shopping event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Spring Meadows Golf Course, 59 Lewiston Road.

The event will feature 20 vendors and is free to the public. Shoppers may bring a donation and get entered into winning the door prize.

WEST PARIS — The First Universalist Church of West Paris Goodwill Fellowship is raffling several items, including a handmade scrappy quilt and a hand-crocheted afghan, plus an oil change and a $25 gift card.

The quilt measures 85 by 96 inches and the afghan measures 74 by 62 inches.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The raffle drawing will take place at the church’s annual chicken pie supper on Thursday, Nov. 16.
