SOUTH PARIS — Bernard A. McInnis, 88, died on Monday, Oct. 23, at the Maine Veterans Homes in South Paris. He was born on May 11, 1929, in Mexico, of Frederick and Margaret (Cameron) McInnis.
Bernard graduated from Mexico High School in 1949, joined the U.S Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant. Bernard married Doris Gallant on Feb. 14, 1953. He worked as a meat cutter until he retired in 1994.
Bernard was predeceased by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, Francis and Frederick.
He is survived by his three children, Susan Paradis and husband, Carl of Waterville, Sharon McInnis of Scarborough and Stephen McInnis and wife, Debbie of Locust Grove, Va.; three grandchildren, Sean Paradis of Waterville, Caitlin McInnis of Scarborough and Kimberly Southworth and husband, Wayne, of Ladysmith, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Harper and Bailey Southworth of Ladysmith, Va.; a brother, Lawrence McInnis of Portland; a sister, Noreen Carrier and husband, Raymond of Georgetown, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
