I was born and raised in Lewiston. My children went to school here, and I worked in the public school system for almost 30 years. This city has been good to me and my family, and I am committed to its growth.
When I first met Ben Chin, I was impressed by his dedication to Lewiston. He is intelligent, he is experienced and his platform is comprehensive. I am a strong believer in his Belonging Agenda — an evidence-based approach to helping end opioid-related deaths in this community and a path to providing support to those impacted by this heartbreaking issue.
I understand that to make any community stronger, solutions must be rooted in strength and compassion, not shame. It is clear from the Belonging Agenda detailed on his website that Chin understands that, too.
I hope others will join me in voting for Ben Chin for mayor on Nov. 7.
