Eagles to host Texas Hold’em

RUMFORD — The Fraternal Order of Eagles hosts Texas Hold’em poker tournaments on the second Thursday of each month.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. Games will start at 6 p.m. There will be a $50 buy-in, with a $5 high hand as well as a 50/50 raffle. The kitchen will be open from 4 to 6 p.m.

SeniorsPlus office hours 

FARMINGTON — The SeniorsPlus office will be open for scheduled appointments from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Walk-in hours are from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and will be held on the second Thursday of every month.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions or concerns about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families. These services are free and open to the public.

Honey bee club to meet

PARIS — Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road.

The speakers will be Peter McLaughlin, master beekeeper and president of the Maine State Bee Association, and Peggy McLaughlin, master beekeeper, EAS representative and editor of the “Beeline Newspaper.”

Club members are reminded that 2018 dues are due. New bee keepers are welcome.

INDUSTRY — Northern Lites Snowmobile Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month, September to April, at the Industry Town Hall.

Drumming group making a beat  

LEWISTON — The Hand Drumming Group plays from 1 to 3 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month, at Trinity Church, 247 Bates St. 

All levels and styles of drummers can play, and they can bring their own instrument or try one of the club’s drums. The cost to play is by donation.
