OCHOS RIOS, Jamaica — James Lawrence Ellis III, age 37, of Gulfport, Miss., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
He was born Feb. 10, 1980, in Lewiston. He was a 1998 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was currently employed as a small-arms weapons specialist instructor with Linxx Global Solutions Inc.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Norman Marquis; paternal grandmother, Shirley Ellis; and uncles Daniel Marquis and Larry Ellis.
James is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Bishop Ellis; one daughter, Jamison Ellis, of Greene; father, James L. Ellis Jr.; mother, Susan Marquis Conroy, and her husband, Joseph; maternal grandmother, Theresa Marquis; paternal grandfather, James L. Ellis Sr.; aunts Donna Bates, Nancy Brown, Gayle Hall and Sara Ellis; and uncles Ronald Marquis, Michael Marquis and David Ellis.
James enjoyed living life to the fullest. He was happiest when spending time with his lovely wife and beautiful daughter.
