LEWISTON — Fiddler Josh White is the featured musician in this week’s Oasis-of-Music concert. Open to the public free of charge, the event will take place from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Trinity Church, 274 Bates St.
A resident of Auburn and a junior at Edward Little High School, White will perform a selection of music from around the world including tunes from Quebec, Ireland, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
His concert will also feature music written by Lewiston resident Greg Boardman, who served as White’s fiddle and violin teacher from age 7 to 15.
Boardman will provide rhythmic back-up for his former student, joined by friends from the Maine Folque Co-op, whose youth music program White has participated in for the last several years.
