LEWISTON — Michael S. (Brownie) Brown Sr., of Auburn, passed away in Lewiston on Saturday, Feb. 17.

He was born March 7, 1968, in Lewiston. He worked hard to go back to school and received his GED, for which we were so proud of him.

Mike liked going to a lot of places in Maine. He loved the ocean and mountains. He worked at a lot of concrete and welding companies in the local area. He liked welding and fabricating a lot.

Mike was always there when someone needed help. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He was very close to his dad and mom, going hunting and fishing with his dad, and the wisdom his mom gave him to be a man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his mother, Ida, of Auburn; one brother, Bob Jr., of Lewiston; one sister, Debra, of E. Dixfield; two daughters, Brittany Ray, of Wales, and Courtney Brown, of Sabattus; one son, Michael Jr., whom he loved and talked about a lot; two granddaughters, Caylee Joy and Avree Louise; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mike was predeceased by his father, Robert Sr. (2015); a half-brother, Ricky (1975); a granddaughter, Elliana Ray; maternal grandparents, Dana and Helen Wright; and a paternal grandfather, Frank Walker.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff who looked after Michael.

Rest in peace, honey, until we meet again. You’ll always be in our hearts.

Michael S. Brown Sr.
