HARTFORD — Austin Stubbs Sr., 80, of Hartford, passed away Friday, March 2, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born in Bucksport, May 26, 1937, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Stubbs. He enjoyed his days watching ball games and Westerns. His hobbies were picking up bottles and working on cars. He worked at DeCoster Egg Farm for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Stubbs, of Hartford; son, Austin Stubbs Jr., and wife, Kim, of Jay; daughters, Penny Bragg and husband, Israel, of Hartford, Betty Pomerleau and husband, Jim, of South Paris, Kim Carney of Surry; his sister, Josephine, of South Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Richard Grindle and wife, Linda, of Hartford, Lewis Mitchell and wife, Clara, of Ellsworth; sister-in-law, Charlene Grindle, of Ellsworth; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and five sisters.
