ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Daryl A.J. Leger, 54, of Annapolis, Md., left this world unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 24. Daryl is now with his beloved son, Michael.

He was born May 12, 1963, in Ottawa, Canada, the son of Gerry and Denise (Lavoie) Leger. He grew up in Sabattus.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a computer software engineer. He was a member of the Free Masons.

Daryl had a great love of music, especially singing and playing guitar, performing in plays and short films such as “My Boring Zombie Apocalypse,” riding his motorcycle, and being with friends.

He had a generous spirit and as his friends would say, “Daryl would give the shirt off his back for anyone.”

He was predeceased by a son, Michael Leger.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephani Leger; son, Korben Leger; parents, Gerry and Denise (Lavoie) Leger of Auburn; sister, Carolle (Leger), and husband, Ronald Rafferty; sister, Liza (Leger), and husband, Wendell Lackner Jr.; and former wife, Elizabeth Leger.

Daryl once said that before Michael died birds covered his property and the day his son Michael died they were gone. He liked to think that they were winging Michael to heaven. Daryl, on Feb. 24 the birds came to wing you to heaven.
