AUBURN — There will be a baked bean supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Sixth Street Congregational Church, 109 Sixth St.

The menu consists of two kinds of beans, brown bread, cole slaw, red and brown hot dogs, American chop suey, assorted desserts and beverage. The cost is $6 for adults; $3, children 5 to 12; free, under age 5.

All are welcome. Take-out is available.

AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave., will hold its monthly bean supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24. Cost is $8; children age 6 to 12, $4; under 5, free.

The menu consists of baked beans, casseroles, hot dogs, cole slaw, bread, beverages and homemade pies. Entertainment will be provided by the Park Avenue Pickers beginning at 4:30 p.m.

GRAY — A public baked beans and casserole supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the First Congregational Church, Route 115.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children younger than 12. The building is handicapped-accessible.

HARTFORD — The greater Oxford Hills community and beyond is invited to a benefit supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 24, for Hartford Historian Lorraine Parsons, who recently lost her home in a fire.

The event will be held at the Hartford Town Hall, 1196 Main St., Route 140. The old-fashioned bean and casserole supper will collect donations to raise funds to help Parsons rebuild her life.

In the middle of February, a fire destroyed Parsons’ Main Street farmhouse and barn. In addition to the buildings, historical documents, artifacts and antique dolls, quilts, her truck, tractor and antique car were lost.

Volunteers are welcome to help with cooking and baking, along with helping hands for setting and clean-up. Anyone who would like to help or make a donation, can visit the town’s Facebook page at facebook.com/townofhartfordmaine/ or call 207-388-2510.

LIVERMORE FALLS — The First Baptist Church will serve its monthly luncheons from 11 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturday of the month September to June at 25 Church Street.

LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon United Methodist Church, 14 School St., will hold its annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24. The event has become a tradition for local children and their families.

There will be a pancake breakfast and photos with the Easter Bunny. The church will provide the free breakfast as a community service. All are welcome.

LISBON FALLS — A bean supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street, sponsored by the Methodist Women.

Cost is adults, $8; age 6 to 12, $3; age 5 and under, free.

MECHANIC FALLS — A maple pig roast will benefit the Mechanic Falls Fire and Rescue. The event will be hosted by the Shuga Shak from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at 450 Pigeon Hill Road, Route 26. All proceeds will be donated to the rescue. 

Cost will be $12 for adults, $6 for ages 6 to 12 and free for children younger than 6. Tickets are available at the Shuga Shak or from Mechanic Falls Fire and Rescue personnel.

The Shuga Shak’s annual Maple Sunday pancake breakfast the following day will benefit the Tyrian Masonic Lodge. It will be served from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25.

Cost will be $7 for adults, under 6, free. All proceeds will go to the lodge.

MINOT — West Minot Grange, Route 124 and 119, will host a Maple Weekend Breakfast-Craft/Vendor Fair on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Cost is $8; under 5, $2.

Some of the funds will benefit the West Minot Grange Building Fund.

Horse and wagon rides will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days. Cost is $2 a person. The sugarhouse will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.

The crafter/vendor fair will be held on the second floor from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.

NEW SHARON — There will be a baked bean and casserole supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the New Sharon United Methodist Church.

The price is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children younger than 12. The church is handicapped-accessible, and the proceeds will be used for current expenses.
