AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library and Cooking Matters will host a Pop-Up Tour of the pretend Grocery Store from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Androscoggin Room of the library. Dedicated to instructing adults, teens and kids in how to get the most nutrition out of a limited food budget, the free program is open to all.

Program participants will learn key nutrition skills such as how to expand their food budgets, figure out unit pricing, buy fruits and vegetables on a budget and save money. Other skills include how to identify whole grains and read food labels.

Participants who complete the hour program and complete a survey will receive a $10 gift card and recipe booklet. Persons must be at least age 18 to receive the gift card.
