The Old Town-Orono YMCA is holding its annual Healthy Kids Day from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. this Saturday, April 21.
This free event is designed to inspire more kids to keep their minds and bodies active as part of the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for kids and families. The event features activities such as our annual touch-a-truck, inflatable slide, and more local businesses and organizations than ever to motivate and teach families how to develop healthy routines at home.
As spring turns to summer, Healthy Kids Day is a powerful reminder not to let children idle away their summer days. Instead, we want to focus on their potential and awaken their imaginations by keeping kids active and learning.
A child’s development is never on vacation and Healthy Kids Day is a great opportunity to educate families and motivate kids to stay active in spirit, mind, and body throughout the summer.
