The Farmington Recreation Department held its first annual “Open Mike Night” pickleball scramble on Friday, April 27, in memory of Mike Monahan, who died recently. Donations may be made to United Way to be distributed to local food pantries in his name. Monahan suggested a pickleball program, and it soon became a success. The 32 scramble players raised $350 for United Way.
