Curious Minds learning about Eagles

AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library and Lewiston-Auburn Senior College will continue the Curious Minds Lecture Series at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at the Auburn Public Library. Lewiston-Auburn Senior College instructor and musical fanatic David Bernier will give a talk on “Taking It Easy — The Eagles Way.”

In 1971 guitarist/singer Glenn Frey was advised by David Geffen, Asylum label, to form a band. Once formed, the Eagles were signed by Geffen and hooked up with producer Glyn Johns, who recorded their first album in 1972. The album was completed in London in less than three weeks.

The lecture series partnership brings speakers on a variety of topics. To find out more about the Senior College, visit usm.maine.edu/seniorcollege or attend a lecture. All of the lectures are free to the public.
