NORWAY — Robert J. Levesque Jr., 65, of Albany died March 21, after a short illness. He was surrounded by his wife and loving family.

He was born in Lewiston on July 3, 1952, the son of Robert J. Levesque Sr. and stepmother, Linda Levesque, of Mechanic Falls. Bob graduated from Sacred Heart School in Auburn. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972 to 1976. He also served his country in the Vietnam War.

Bob’s passion for playing the guitar has inspired family and friends to love music. Most of all, he enjoyed sharing music with his stepbrother, John. Bob’s heart was huge and warming; it brought him happiness to help others. He enjoyed old cars, woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family and friends, and above all, the time he spent with his loving wife and soul mate, Darlene.

Bob is survived by his wife, Darlene Levesque; daughter, Angela; son, Rodney Levesque; sisters Jacqueline Pelletier of Poland, Cynthia Bolduc of Auburn, Julie Emerson of Poland; brother, David Levesque, of Illinois; stepsisters Jane Spurling, of Chesterville, Carol Kinder of Colorado; stepbrothers John Ethridge of Poland, Willis Ethridge of Arkansas; several stepchildren; and grandchildren.

Robert was predeceased by his mother, Grace (Coffin) Guenette; brother, Stephen Levesque; sister, Shannon Levesque; grandson, Mike; and granddaughter, Octavia.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to the staff at Stephens Memorial Hospital for their care and comfort to Robert and his family in his last hours.
