ASTATULA, Fla. — Bertrand Gilbert, 73, passed away Sunday, April 29, at Waterman Hospital in Florida after a sudden illness.

Bert was born in Lewiston, the son of Arthur Gilbert Sr. and Rose Alma (Turcotte) Gilbert. Bert graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1963.

He then followed by serving his country proudly in the United States Air Force.

He had a 33-year career with Southern Bell Telephone Co. in Florida.

Bert is survived by his son, Joel; and granddaughter, Harmony; a sister, Juliette (Gilbert) Ouellette; also his sister-in-law, Lorraine (Perreault) Gilbert).

He was predeceased by two brothers, Larry Gilbert and Arthur Gilbert Jr.; and two sisters, Jeanine (Gilbert) Daigneault and Liane (Gilbert) Burpee; also many nieces, nephew and friends.
