AUBURN — Carmel C. (Lepage) St. Pierre, 88, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Friday, May 18, at Clover Manor.

She was born in Lewiston on June 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Jean and Laura (Maheux) Lepage. On Oct. 29, 1949, Carmel married the love of her life, George St. Pierre, and they shared a loving marriage of over 30 years until his passing in 1979.

After her husband’s passing she joined the Dominican Sisters, where she traveled to Rome, and worked at the Navajo Indian Reservation. She always loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and going out to eat.

Carmel is survived by her two daughters, Diane Hepburn and husband, Alphonso, and Suzanne Rainville and husband, Roger; her sister, Lucille Gauthier; her two brothers, Maurice Lepage and Romeo Lepage; her six grandchildren, Cynthia, John, Curtis Jr., Christina, Lauralee and Vicki; her 12 great-grandchildren; her four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her two sisters, Murielle Fournier and Dolores Lepage; and her four brothers, Fernand, Bertrand, Leonard and Emile Lepage.
