LEWISTON — Community Dental has been awarded a $6,000 Community Building grant from the Maine Community Foundation. It will be used to implement new methods of overcoming language barriers for limited English proficiency patients in Community Dental’s Lewiston dental center.
The National Institutes of Health reports limited English proficiency patients who use interpreter services are more satisfied with the care they receive and are at less risk of experiencing medical errors.
Community Dental is celebrating its 100th year of service.
