CANTON — Voters will elect a selectman and a school board director, and decide on a school budget Tuesday during balloting at the Town Office. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Selectman Don Hutchins is unopposed for another three-year term. Carl Leuders is seeking a seat on the Regional School Unit 56 board to replace Anne Chamberlin who is not running again.
Two Planning Board positions have no candidates. The seats were held by Tom Adley, who resigned, and Doleen Goodrow-Boyce, who died.
The proposed 2018-19 school budget for Canton, Carthage, Dixfield and Peru is $12.2 million.
The annual town meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Town Office.
