LEWISTON — Ronald Paul Ouellette, 70, left us to reside in heaven with Jesus on Friday, June 1.
He was born July 9, 1947, in Lewiston, to Armand and Lucille Ouellette. Ron earned his registered nurse certification after graduating from Lewiston High School. He and Donna Bechard operated the Ouellette Adult Foster Home for 30 years.
Ron was a natural caregiver. He developed strong relationships with each of his patients and was treated as an extended family member. Ron loved spending time with his family and friends more than anything else in the world. He routinely organized large family reunions in Lewiston and invited all of his family from Maine and Pennsylvania. He also had a passion for travel, cooking, tending to his flower beds, and storytelling with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Margie Ouellette, Geraldine Isabel; sister-in-law, Donna Bechard; cousin, Roger Martel; nieces, Lisa Young, Tina Young, and Sally Klock; nephew, Mark Gagne; and many great-nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded by his sister, Joanne Gagne; his brother, Armand Ouellette Jr; and his nephew, David Gagne. He was cared for by Donna Bechard until his time of death, and he was surrounded by family until his last breath.
His place of burial is St. Peter’s Cemetery.
