FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week.
Dog of the Week Fiona is 4-year-old, female staffy mix. She is a large dog, but has a heart of gold, according to shelter staff. She loves to be outside, but her favorite game is “chase me,” so she is best on leash. She has a medium energy level and is quiet in her crate, her foster said. Fiona doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, so she’d enjoy meeting dogs of potential adopters.
Cruz, who is a 1- to 3-year-old male, is the Cat of the Week. He is an affectionate cat seeking a “fur-ever” home.
Fiona, Cruz and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also finds homes for barn cats, livestock and other pets.
