Speed is believed to have been a factor in an accident Monday afternoon on Route 232 in Rumford, according to Officer Brad Gallant of the Rumford Police Department. Matthew Marino-Babcock, 18, of Newburyport, Massachusetts, was driving a 2014 Honda CR-V when his vehicle went off the road. Marino-Babcock’s passenger, Christine Good, 17, also of Newburyport, complained of leg pain. She was examined at the scene by rescue workers from Med-Care Ambulance.
