L/A Arts announces that the July 27 Art Walk in downtown Lewiston and Auburn will feature live art-making in select venues along the walk. This is a wonderful opportunity to watch art come to life in several media, including ceramics, watercolor, oil, stained glass, mixed media and video. Artists will be making art throughout the evening, from 5 to 8 p.m., in select locations along the walk. As a complement to the rich array of visual art exhibits and live music that characterize every Art Walk LA, this year’s series features a monthly live performance theme.
The live art-making schedule is:
Sofia Fima — 46 Lisbon St., oil painting by artist Alexandra Hood;
Rinck Advertising — 113 Lisbon St., glass cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering by stained glass artist Jim Nutting;
The Hive — 178 Lisbon St., second floor: Inside the Hive: Krista Lord, watercolors; and Katheryn Beausang, mixed media Outside the Hive: Doug Haig, live portraits; Melanie Therrien, watercolor or acrylic street scenes; and Kate Cargile, watercolor street scenes;
