Immigration officer drop-in hours
LEWISTON — Lewiston Public Library will host Immigration Services officers from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Wednesday, Aug. 1.
The officers will hold a free, open office session for individuals from the community with any questions about the U.S. immigration process.
From 10 to 11:30 a.m., the officers will be available in a second floor study room for one-on-one meetings. Drop-ins will be welcome; no appointments will be necessary.
Services provided will include customer inquiries, case status for pending applications, and general information about naturalization, citizenship, permanent residence and asylum/refugee information.

New Auburn Seniors to meet
AUBURN — The New Auburn Senior Citizens will meet Monday, Aug. 6. The business meeting and open bingo will start around 11:30 a.m. followed by a light lunch.
Tickets will be sold for the Chinese chop suey dinner on Monday, Aug. 20, for $6.
Seniors 50 and older are welcome to attend Off-Monday Bingo at around noon on Mondays, Aug. 13 and 27.
All functions are held at the Sacred Heart Church.

Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship
LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship will meet on Monday, Aug. 6. The group meets at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street. The gathering begins for fellowship at 11:30 a.m. followed by a pot luck lunch.
All interested widows in the area are invited to attend. The group meets the first Monday of each month unless a holiday. Then the gathering is held the second Monday.
Seniors offer casino trip
LEWISTON — The IHM Golden Age Club and New Auburn Seniors are sponsoring a trip to Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
Cost of the trip is $45 per person. This includes a meal voucher and free play.
Pick up will be at Park North Ride, 1243 Lisbon St. Participants must arrive by 6:15 a.m., and departure time will be 6:30 a.m.
Departure will be at 5:30 p.m. Only a limited number of seats are available. Call the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish office at 207-782-8096 to make a reservation.
Cribbage league to play
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League plays Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave.
Doors open at 8 a.m., and games will begin at 9.
The league plays through April, but games are played year-round.
