Dempsey Center summer harvest class
LEWISTON — The Dempsey Center will celebrate the summer harvest from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7.
The program will feature produce harvested that day from the Dempsey Center Community Garden. The center will chat about the health benefits of the foods prepared, demonstrate easy, healthy, tasty recipes and send participants home with some produce to try on their own.

Pantry seeks book donations
AUBURN — The High Street Food Pantry is seeking donations of children’s books for infants through teens.
Donations may be brought to the Auburn United Methodist Church, at 439 Park Ave.
