SCARBOROUGH — Constance Goudreau passed away peacefully at home in Scarborough on Sunday, Aug. 5, surrounded by her family and her four cats.

Born Constance L. Pelletier on Nov. 10, 1925, in Rumford, she was the daughter of Hector and Antoinette Pelletier and married Maurice Goudreau. They had three children.

Constance was a stay-at-home mom who found a career as an antique dealer. Her love of history and antiques became a passion that lasted 55 years. Many a school vacation was spent traveling to museums, to learn about history, across rural Maine and even into Canada on buying trips to find primitive antiques.

She spent the last five years of her life living with her daughter, Maureen, and son-in-law, Ken, on their farm in Scarborough. She delighted in the chickens and turkeys that lived on the farm, but especially loved her four cats.

She was predeceased by husband, Maurice, and son, Matthew.

She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Goronson, and husband, Ken; son, George Goudreau, of Arlington, Va.; sisters-in-law Claire Goudreau and Priscilla Dupill and husband, Henry, of Rumford; brothers-in-law Father Paul Goudreau of Florida; Robert and Betty Goudreau of Massachusetts; and Monsignor Joseph Goudreau of Washington, D.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
