Contradance set for Sunday

NORWAY — A contradance will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at the First UU Church of Norway, 479 Main St. 

Music will be played by the Better Late Than Never Band, and Shair Shakti will call.

Beginners will be welcome with or without a partner. All dances will be taught. Dancers should bring clean shoes for dancing.

Sons of Italy to meet

RUMFORD — Sons Of Italy Lodge No. 467 will hold a regular meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the Lodge on Route 108.

The meeting will be followed by a light lunch.

PARIS — Christian Women United luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m.  Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the South Paris Congregational Church, 17 E. Main St.

Garden club plans meeting

WILTON — Mt. Blue Area Garden Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Louise Marcous’ home 295 McCrillis Road.

Hostesses Carol Godomsky, Mary Green and Annette Tripp will provide light desserts. Those attending should bring a lawn chair, bag lunch and a plant to swap.

Daughters of Isabella summer social

RUMFORD — St. Timothy’s Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella, will have a summer social at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Kelly Beauchesne’s home on 16 Cedar Lane.

The committee will furnish the dinner. Committee members will be calling to confirm who will be attending the outing.

Chairpersons for the social are Debbie Laurinaitis and Rita Thorne. Committee members are Noella Taylor and Dorothea Cayer.

Madison Heinzen is the 2018 Daughters of Isabella Scholarship recipient.
